    Novacas is committed to providing animal-friendly, environmentally-friendly, and worker-friendly products. Novacas—taken from Spanish and Portuguese for “no cow”—produces products that are made from the highest quality synthetic microfibers available and are 100% PVC-free. Shoes are ethically manufactured in Portugal at worker-friendly factories according to labor standards set forth by the European Union.

    ETHLETIC sneakers are the first shoes in the world that carry the official Fairtrade certification mark. They also have soles that carry the logo of the Forest Stewardship Council meaning that almost every part of the sneakers is either Fairtrade or ecologically certified.
  4. Doc Martens Vegan Collection

    This collection offers our two most definitive styles – the 8-eye boot and 3-eye shoe – to the vegan consumer. The synthetic materials used are acutely vegan-friendly but this has not precluded quality, with this collection replicating our standard footwear down to the very last detail, even boasting a more natural feeling heel loop.

Once a guiding principle for climbing legend, Yvon Chouinard, it became a cornerstone of the company he would later found. Seeing a need for comfortable, high-quality footwear with a lighter environmental impact, we've taken the lessons learned from over 30 years of making outdoor clothing and applied them to our Performance and Casual shoes.

All of Boulder's Scarpa shoes contain some percentages of: Recycled polyester mesh, Recycled synthetic leather, Polyester recycled lining, Lace and webbing is 100% Ecosensor recycled polyester, Recycled rubber outsole.

Our first priority is to understand where we should focus our attention so the environmental impact of our products is as low as possible. Our approach takes a lot of effort and incurs a financial cost, but, more often than not, we have found that having concern for the environment leads us to smarter ways of working that actually save money while reducing our environmental impact.
